Make the Tiger Trade Ban Permanent
Tiger numbers have decreased dramatically in recent decades due to poaching to supply the illegal trade in tiger parts. In fact, fewer than 5,000 tigers are estimated to remain in the wild
Illegal markets in China drive most tiger poaching and illegal trade. To its credit, China has taken many steps to stem this problem; however, its commitment to ending tiger trade is now wavering.
If China's domestic trade reopens, even greater numbers of tigers will be killed in the wild and on inhumane "tiger farms," where tigers are raised for their bones and skin.
TAKE ACTION
Join thousands of people who have already signed a petition urging China to permanently ban the domestic tiger parts trade. The petition will be delivered to Chinese officials at an upcoming meeting. We need your help getting as many signatures as possible so we can impress on the Chinese just how many people care about this issue.
Please sign this important petition by April 30th and invite your friends to sign it, too.
